I visited three blogs today.  They were amazing!  First, I visited Joe in New Zealand.  His blog was full of pictures.  They were cool and colourful and amazing.  I liked Dwight P. in the U.S.A. because he seems like he is going to be really cool when he is older.  He wants to be a mechanic when he grows up.  Finally, I visited Harry S. in the U.S.A.  Harry wants to be an engineer.  He was very organized with his blog.  I think you should visit every single one because they are all BEAST!

On May 23rd my school is having an Entrepreneur Fair. This is where students sell products they have created as part of a business plan. Four classes in my school are participating which means there will be lots of items to buy and I want to make sure mine sells well. I have made this survey to get people’s opinions about what they like best about my product. Please check out my survey and help me out. Thanks.

Last night a space invader landed in my back yard.  So I went to go investigate. I ran downstairs, looked out my basement window and saw an alien walking down the steps of his space ship. So I ran outside being the curious and fearless boy I am. I walked up to the alien and it said, “I come in peace.” Now, I’ve seen a lot of alien movies and they never come in peace. They might say that but really they just want to destroy the planet. There was no way I was going to let him trick me into being his friend and then betray me, so I said, “No you don’t!” Then I kicked him in the shins and ran. But the alien was right behind me. It was the first time I was  ever scared in my whole life. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. Maybe I should try and be less curious. I ran into my basement and locked the door. But I forgot to lock the upstairs door. The alien was smart enough to open the door and I could hear him opening and slamming the cupboards in the kitchen. I guess he found a taser in my cupboard (yes, I keep a taser in my cupboard. Don’t judge me) because he kicked down the door to the basement and pointed the taser at my head. Naturally, I kicked the taser out of his hand and shoved the taser up his nose into his brain. I’m so thankful for all the Chuck Norris movies I watched. I killed the alien. I was lucky to have kept my life. Actually, it was all skill. That alien didn’t even have a chance.

An easy way to make money is by helping your friend with a paper route, walking the dog, doing chores, or mowing the lawn, but it doesn’t have to even be your lawn. Other people’s lawn need mowing too. If it’s snowing where you live you can shovel drive ways, or if it’s hot out you can sell lemonade or cookies.

There are lots of ways to earn extra money, but you have to put some effort into and work hard. No one is going to give you money for just sitting around. That’s why it’s called work.

So get out there and earn some money!

If you are a student and have a job that earns you money, I’d love to hear about it. It may something I could try as well.

Some of my friends know a lot about me, but even they might not know all this:

  1. I once lived on a boat.
  2. I love to go fishing.
  3. I want to become a fireman.
  4. I love Indian food.
  5. My favourite show is Family guy.
  6. I hate chili.
  7. I have always wanted to go to India.

Could any of these be about you as well? Let me know.

New Year’s resolutions originally began in Sumer in Mesopotamia, which is now  Iraq, around 2000 BCE.  That’s 4000 years ago! Resolutions  then were linked to when they planted their crops so their year started in March or April. The main crop was barley and they had a celebration to start the year called the  “festival of sowing the barley.”

I have made 4 resolutions as well. I don’t grow any crops and I don’t live in Sumer, so mine are a little different.

Personal: I would like to work on reading because when I get a book report I don’t want to fail it. I’m not a big fan of reading, but I’m going to really try to improve. I am going to read every night for 30 min so I can become a better reader. Being a good reader will help me in school.

School: I want to get better grades, so I can become a fireman. To achieve my goal I will try to pay attention in class, do my homework and study. If I work hard and participate in class I will learn more.

Community: For the community I want to recycle more because if we don’t recycle more the landfills eventually will overflow and the earth will be covered in garbage. I don’t want to live in and around garbage. Some places around the world are already like that. If I see a piece of garbage I will pick it up and I will make sure I recycle what I can. I will encourage other people to recycle as well.

Global: To help raise awareness about animal abuse because animals should be treated well and cared for. I will write about this issue on my blog so I can make others aware as well. If more people know about animal abuse it could help stop it.

80% of the New Year’s resolutions fail. I’m going to make sure I succeed and become one of the 20% that reach their goals. I have a plan which is what a lot of people forget to put together. I also know where to ask for help if I need it. I will succeed!

I can’t believe I have my own blog now!

I have never had a blog before. I am really excited to read other people’s blogs and for them to read mine. I will get a chance to talk to students and teachers around the world and learn about their classrooms. That sounds awesome!
